We eat here a lot. It's a very good place to eat, with great price. Fast service. You can feed a whole family of four for $20.

For the price point this is a great little spot for satisfying your Japanese craving. The interior is incredibly clean but very no frills, It's basically take out but they do have tables for dining in, your food will come in disposable containers regardless. For our first visit I got the bento box and the bf got habachi. Habachi comes with the meat in a teriyaki sauce with fried rice, veggies and a salad. The bento box comes with a soup instead of a salad (they won't let you substitute) and everything that habachi comes with plus two tempura shrimp, 4 pieces of California roll and two fried scallops. Both portions were nice and since I was able to take half of mine home. Everything seemed very fresh and even the shrimp didnt appear to be deep fried, I'd say the unhealthiest thing was actually the soup due to the sodium. With two drinks and and extra salad we spent $22, at lunch the prices are even better. Overall a nice spot if you want to be in and out.

Their portions are huge. Good stuff too. The food can be seen as it is cooked from behind the glass partition. Mom had the shrimp noodle; my dish of shrimp and beef over fried rice was filling. Their sushi was decent. The food is served on to go containers, even though you're dining in. I think their strong point is carry out business. The cooks are Chinese, but they have Japanese cuisine down pat. Ambiance and presentation are the reasons for four stars instead of five, but if you need Japanese fix for a reasonable price, give Oishi ("tastes good" in Japanese) a try.

This place is absolutely a solid lunch destination for those working in Olive Branch! It's also good for dinner, but this has quickly become a solid lunch spot for me. You can order online or by phone and have your food ready by the time you get there, thus giving you more time to enjoy your food instead of scarfing out down in an attempt to beat the clock. I normally get the chicken hibachi which is most excellent. The portions are exceptionally generous and prices are reasonable. I normally can turn this meal into two with the leftovers. I've also had the Bento Box which was generous as well. The ambiance is also quite nice for a counter-ordering restaurant. My only gripe is that no substitutions are allowed and the price skyrockets when getting combo meats on your meals (maybe you get double the meat instead of a half portion of both? Not sure). Either way, I love this spot and will be here often!

Tried this place for the first time today and was really impressed. Ordered online and picked it up in less than ten minutes. Sushi was super fresh and flavorful. Plenty of soy sauce, wasabi and ginger provided. They also included several chop sticks in the bag. Nice quiet peaceful dining room also. Give it a try.

Atmosphere was very clean, cool and comfortable. Staff was friendly and food arrived quickly. Takeout order was packaged properly and included everything needed to enjoy our meal. The food is not as good as Osaka or Benihana, but the prices are not nearly as high either. We ordered a hibachi chicken, miso soup and a california roll. The hibachi chicken was hot and fresh and they use good white meat chicken, which is important to me. California roll and miso soup were pretty good too. For a quick lunch experience I was very happy. I will return. I'm happy to have a quick and less expensive alternative to Osaka, especially for lunch!

I tried this place because I am a huge fan of hibatchi and sushi. I agree with the user below, it is no Benihana but definitely great for a Japanese take out! Everything is fresh and the place is clean. Food overall is good!

They haven't been open long... and won't be open much longer unless they make some changes. There was a line at the counter to order and the girl taking orders had NO CLUE what she was doing. The management should NOT have let her be the person making initial contact with customers. Rude and condescending. While we were placing our order, she stopped taking our order to take a phone order... then had us start over again because she had deleted our order. And she seemed mad at us, like it was our fault she deleted the order. Perhaps the reason she was grumpy was the lack of air conditioning. Opening a restaurant on the hottest day of the year with no a/c would make anyone grumpy... including the customers who were tired of waiting to order and receive their food. While we were at our table waiting for our food, we noticed that some tabled were given numbers and others were not. We didn't have a number... but our food came out quickly. Other tables (with numbers) got the wrong food. One party that was seated when we walked in hadn't received their food by the time we were eating. When they asked why, they were told the cashier had "saved their order, but not pressed the button to send it to the kitchen." WOW! They have some serious organization issues to address. One person in our party ordered Shrimp & Chicken Hibachi, the other ordered the Fried Rice with everything. Both dishes were large and filling, but the flavor was bland. Shrimp and chicken tasted the same... and were both overcooked. Ont he plus side, everything was much cheaper than the other Japanese places in town. I guess you get what you pay for. We didn't try the sushi, but the sushi chefs looked very busy and the sushi that was served to other table looked very good. The sushi prices were similar to the other Japanese restaurants in town. The best thing we had was the "Japanese Sprite." It's served in a fun little bottle and it worth trying once. Entertaining and pretty tasty. Hopefully they will address the A/C and organization issues. We will go back and see if thing improve in the coming months.

We've been here a number of times now, and its good food, and the portions are generous. I like their cucumber salad, shrimp Yaki Soba very much. also like the Fried Rice. Also love that they have an online ordering at their website. Makes life easier when ordering for someone else to pick up.

I absolutely love this place. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Olive Branch. The food is delicious and very affordable. Every time I order, they always tell me 15 minutes but its always ready in under 15 minutes. I literally lost count of how many times I've been to Oishi. The owners are so nice and the atmosphere is very clean and peaceful. The owners are very respectful and always nice. Oishi is a great place to take your family out for dinner or a friend on a lunch date. They even have online ordering to make ordering simple if you are like me, who doesn't like ordering on the phone or waiting. All in all, this restaurant was such a great addition to the city of Olive Branch and even in a great location. If you want good affordable Japanese food with quick and respectful service, Oishi is the place for you. I will forever be a life time customer of Oishi.

My husband and I tried Oishi for the first time and we found it to be very good for Japanese Express. We didn't expect the same experience as full service Japanese like Benihana and Osaka. We both had the fried rice with chicken and shrimp which was a huge portion. I also got the crunchy ahi tuna roll which was very fresh and delicious. The restaurant was cool and clean. The girl at the counter was not familiar with the menu and had to ask the girl at the sushi counter to clarify but as the restaurant is relatively new maybe she's still in training. I will go back for sure.
